Results of the 2023 trustee election voting were announced during the 57th Annual General Meeting of the Arboricultural Association, which was held online via Zoom on Thursday August 31st, 2023, at 6pm.
The Association received seven nominations to fill the two vacancies on the board of trustees, which is comprised of members of the Association. The two candidates who received the most votes and will become trustees, helping lead the Arboricultural Association for the next three years were Paul Barton (re-elected) and Sarah Kiss. Congratulations to the two successful nominations for the Association’s Board of Trustees in 2023 and thank you to everyone who took part in the process. A healthy number of nominations was a great sign that our members are more invested and engaged in supporting the Association than ever before. As part of the meeting, Sarah Armstrong and Liz Nicholls were also re-elected as co-opted trustees.
We would also like to thank our outgoing Trustees, Alastair Durkin and Andrew Longland, who stepped down in the AGM 2022-2023 period and have contributed so much of their time and effort into helping deliver the Association’s aims and vision.
Michelle Ryan remains in post as Chair until the 2024 AGM, while Paul Barton will remain as Vice Chair until the next Full Board Meeting. Meanwhile, Rob Murison will take up the role of Interim Treasurer until the next Full Board Meeting.
