The top placed eligible competitors from the UK & Ireland Open Tree Climbing Competition (under ISA Rules) can represent the UK and Ireland at:
International Tree Climbing Championship (ITCC)
As an associate organisation of the ISA for UK and Ireland the Arboricultural Association can send our top placed eligible male and female climbers to represent the U.K & Ireland on the world stage.
European Tree Climbing Championship (ETCC)
The Arboricultural Association can enter a team of competitors to represent the UK & Ireland at the ISA European Climbing Championship (ETCC). The winners of this event represent Europe at the annual International Tree Climbing Championship (ITCC).
Who’s eligible? The UK&I TCC is open to anyone wishing to compete. Competitors will only be eligible to enter the Masters Final if they hold either a current UK or Irish passport or have lived and worked in the UK or Ireland for at least 18 months immediately prior to a competition. Up to one guest competitor (possibly two dependant on numbers) who do not meet the qualifying criteria, may also enter the Masters Final, however regardless of their final position within the event, they would not be eligible to represent the UK&I at either ETCC or ITCC. An ineligible competitor could win the competition.
