Course Objectives:

The Scottish Branch presents Jim Mullholland and Davy Whyte who will both gives talks in the morning and in the afternoon Mike Brady, Senior Ranger, will guide us around bat habitats around the park.

Course Content:

Programme for the Bats and Trees Workshop

9.30 Arrival and tea and coffee

10am Welcome and introduction of speaks

10.15am Chatelherault from the bat’s perspective by Senior Ranger Mike Brady

10.45am Comfort Break

11am Surveying trees for bats by Jim Mullholland

11.45am Close visual inspection using torch and endoscope with PRF museum (endoscopy participation), compensation techniques reusing PRF and creating PRF in trees using chainsaws (with examples and power point) see attached. by Davy Whyte

12.30 pm Lunch (Soup and sandwiches)

1.30 pm Outside looking at habitats and developing the idea of their creating or re-using features in the afternoon

3.30pm Questions and Answers

4pm Finish
