The Cornwall Branch AA are holding a Training Day on 13th October at Lanhydrock Memorial Hall Lanhydrock Memorial Hall (2 Trebyan Cottages, Lanhydrock, Bodmin PL30 5AE) to give those interested in tree care an up to date view of arboricultural management and husbandry.
The day is aimed at anyone with an interest in tree management and should be of use to Contractors, Consultants, Land Managers and the wider arboricultural community.
The day will consist of an update on the current state of pest and diseases and biosecurity delivered by the Forestry Commission, a Talk on Veteran and notable trees from Tim Kellett of the Ancient Tree Forum and a talk on bats and trees by Paul Diamond of Ecological Surveys.
The day will be completed with a walk around Lanhydrock House grounds to look at Veterans and other trees to assess their ecological value.
The cost will be £25 per delegate which will include teas/coffees and a pasty lunch and there is free parking at the Hall.
