A revised and updated guide produced by the Arboricultural Association and the London Tree Officers Association
It is a well-established fact that amenity trees (those found in gardens, parks, on streets and in other places near where people live and work) deliver a wide range of environmental, social and economic benefits to society. However,if they are to fulfil their potential it is critical that trees are able to establish themselves successfully, thriving in the landscape and reaching maturity. In order to grow from saplings to semi-mature and mature specimens, newly-planted trees need water, The purpose of this document is to outline some of the factors to consider when watering trees, both in ordinary conditions and during times of drought.
