NTSG Guidance – 2nd edition draft for consultation
We are pleased to attach a final order draft of the second edition of ‘Common sense risk management of trees’. This version has been developed by the drafting group and incorporates a number of changes arising out of the consultation with NTSG representatives in late 2020 and is now made available for wider public consultation.
While not changing any fundamental principles, the attached draft of the new edition reflects the changing legal and arboricultural backdrop as well as incorporating suggestions from expert commentators. It has also been restructured to improve flow and aid navigation (the document is now structured to reflect the logical sequence of the NTSG’s five key principles – see aim and scope section for more information. NB This version for circulation does not include the references, the glossary and list of NTSG contacts). Please also note that the document will be subject to detailed copy-editing and design, following this consultation.
As one of the NTSG stakeholder organisations, we would now like to ask you for feedback on this final draft. Please provide this feedback via the survey link here: forms.office.com/r/8QnEejxKSB.
For Question 1, please insert ‘Arboricultural Association’. The survey allows you to express your rating of various aspects of the guidance and to add in any specific comments you wish to make. The drafting group is not seeking detailed comments on a line-by-line basis but please raise any major points of approval or disagreement to be raised in the free text boxes.
The consultation period will run for four weeks until Friday 2nd December 2022. All comments received will be collated by the Association and returned to the drafting group.
Thank you for your support in commenting on this draft - it is much appreciated.
