Karen was appointed to the position of Chief Executive in November 2012. She leads the team at Head Quarters at the Malthouse in Gloucestershire.
Before joining the Association Karen was an HR Director in the commercial sector, and a consultant who specialised in strategic change management in the educational and not for profit sectors. A keen environmentalist Karen combines a passion for nature with a strong social consciousness
Senior Technical Officer
Simon’s career in arboriculture includes contracting, consulting and training delivery and development. He provides technical services and manages the Association’s training and seminar programme.
Louisa is an experienced Accounts professional and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
She has worked with the AA since 2009 and prior to that has worked in Practice, Industry and has run her own business.
Technical Officer, ARB Approved Contractor and AA Registered Consultant Schemes Manager
Paul brings a wealth of arboricultural knowledge to the team and is the manager for the ARB Approved Contractor and AA Registered Consultant Schemes.
Administration Officer, Accreditation
Polly’s background in arboriculture includes local government and consultancy. Polly is responsible for all administration regarding the ARB Approved Contractor and AA Registered Consultant Schemes.
Simon C (as he is known!) has a wealth of experience and technical qualifications across a number of disciplines in the industry. He comes from a large national land-based contracting company where he headed up the arb team, gaining them ArbAC status. As Technical Officer his responsiblities will cover the ArbAC scheme and the provision of appropriate professional training to members.
Administration Officer, Membership
Jess has a wealth of IT and corporate membership experience and is responsible for all membership applications, up-grades and renewals.
Administration Officer, Training
Tiff is responsible for the administration of all of our training courses, conference and publications sales and ordering.
Marketing and Communications Manager
Chris has extensive experience in Marketing, Sales and Business Development roles across a number of commercial sectors. He originally joined the team in 2013 and has responsibility for marketing, communications and press relations across all aspects of the Association’s operations.
Laura has a BSc (Hons) in Conservation and Countryside Management and a strong administrative background. She is responsible for publication sales for the Association and provides support to the ARB Approved Contractor Scheme and Training.
Administration Assistant (Marketing)
Stephen has a high level of experience in marketing and technology and is responsible for managing various communication streams such as eNews and event promotion, together with assisting finance and administration.
