The Wales Branch is holding its eighth annual fungi walk, held at Clyne Gardens, where Teifion Davies and Steve Lucocq will be guiding you around the wonderful surroundings.
Admiral Algernon Walker-Heneage-Vivian, who owned Clyne from 1921 until his death in 1952, established the Gardens at Clyne. He sponsored plant collecting expeditions overseas, and many of Clyne's rhododendrons still bear their original collector’s numbers. The Admiral’s influence can also be seen in the landscaping, which includes a Japanese Bridge, the Admirals Tower and the Gazebo. The site is home to tree species from all around the world and because of this it is also home to a variety of fungi.
