Highway tree inspections; are you on the right side of the law?
In this presentation, Jeremy will report a summary of the current state of the nation in respect of highway tree inspections, and offer his interpretation of what the standard of duty of care is likely to look like in the future - having made a Freedom of Information request to all the UK highway authorities asking for information on tree failure related fatalities and injuries, tree risk management strategies, tree inspection protocols, and training programmes.
It is anticipated that, when published in 2019, this data could form the basis for designing a “clear, detailed guidance” on highway tree inspections.
Competitive tree climbing - how useful is it for a production climber?
In this presentation Jo will describe how she started in competitive climbing and what she has achieved since. She will also talk about the educational advantages competitive climbing has given her during her career, as a production climber and Arb Approved Contractor.
This is a not to be missed event with two fantastic speakers. Our famous raffle also returns and half time refreshments will be provided.
