Visitor’s Centre, Phoenix Park, Dublin
With expert speaker Jim Mullholland
This one-day hands-on course is ideal for tree work contractors and others who need to identify and diagnose tree pests, diseases and fungi as part of their regular work.
To improve their recognition and understanding of the insects and other vectors, diseases and other pathogens, fungi and other ecological features that naturally populate our trees and their environments.
The workshop will include terminology, the principles of identification and diagnosis – symptoms, signs and indicators – which lead to accurate identification and an analysis of significance. It will also cover what to do when you are not able to identify specific organisms/disorders, and where to get help and support.
