New East Anglia Branch Committee – Volunteers needed
Saturday 12th August, 10.00am via Zoom
Ahead of its 2023 Annual General Meeting, the Arboricultural Association East Anglia Branch is inviting local members to volunteer for Chair, Vice Chair and committee positions.
The AGM will be held on Zoom featuring a presentation from Association CEO John Parker. After the talk a Chair, Vice Chair and Committee will hopefully be elected. If you would like to make an impact in your local branch this is your opportunity to get involved.
Nomination Deadline Friday 11th August
The objectives of East Anglia Branch are to engage with the public, tree owners and professionals. To further the aims of the Arboricultural Association in inspiring and promoting the tree care community.
The Association is dependent on its members, its volunteers – including Trustees, Committee members and Branch officials to help achieve its aims. You can view them in detail in the 2022-2024 Strategic Plan here.
Whether you are an experienced tree care professional, someone new to the industry, working in a related sector, a student or a member of the public or community group – you can get involved. Committee members and Branches are respected, valued and given the opportunities for development that they need, inspiring them so that they are able to inspire others.
What do the roles involve?
Chair – has the ultimate responsibility for co-ordinating the activities of the Branch, ensuring that the Association’s aim’s and objectives are met. In the event of a tied committee vote, the Chair has the casting vote.
Vice Chair – supports the chairperson; acts in the Chairs place if the chair is absent.
Committee Members – support the Chair and Vice Chair by providing general help with achieving the Branch’s aims and objectives.
