Course Objectives:

To update attendees on the technologies available to ensure newly planted trees establish successfully; how to ensure that the planting medium (the soil) can be maintained in healthy condition; how to select species of tree that are suitable for the environment into which they will be planted; how to measure the health and vitality of the trees on an ongoing basis.

Course Content:

The Course will be attractive not only to Arboriculturists but also to allied professionals such as Architects, Landscape Architects, Engineers, Planners and Urban Designers.

 Key Learning Points include proper tree pit installation; tree support systems; soil and soil amendments; species selection for the urban environment; measuring tree health and vitality

A CPD Seminar & Workshop on technologies involved in the proper planting and maintenance of trees in hard surfaces in urban areas. 

Green Blue Urban will present their CPD Seminar on Tree Pit Installation and SUDS;

Dr Glynn Percival will present on Biochar, soil amendments and assessing the health and vitality of trees;

Keith Sacre will present on BS8545, species selection and biosecurity
