A Guide to Good Climbing Practice
Incorporating the Work at Height Regulations 2005, Health and Safety Executive research and the latest techniques and equipment the AA A Guide to Good Climbing Practice replaces the AA/FASTCo Guide to Good Climbing Practice (1999) and the AA/FASTCo Aerial Rescue Guidance Notes (1997).
"The Guide sets out techniques and systems of work that can be considered as best practice guidance in arboriculture and helps anyone in the business meet their legal obligations." Dr Richard Nourish, Head of the Agriculture and Food Section, Health and Safety Executive.

Please Note: The Arboricultural Association is developing a suite of five new technical guides covering arboricultural work at height, including a new guide entitled ‘Tree climbing and aerial rescue’. It is expected that this will be published in the autumn of 2020. While the information in the current publication is fundamentally still technically accurate, purchasers should be aware that the new Technical Guide clarifies the interpretation of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, in addition to many other technical developments since 2005.
