Course Objectives
To enable course members to:
- State the role and responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASAW) and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSW)
- Understand the concept of Hazard and Risk Assessment
- Analyse work operations, identify hazards and risks and evaluate the need for a formal risk assessment
- Demonstrate an ability to complete generic and pro-forma risk assessment sheets
- Understand the need for revision and maintenance of existing assessments.
Who is the Course for?
- This course is for anyone who is required to manage or supervise arboricultural work operations and for operators required to comply with provided risk assessments.
