As the largest membership organisation representing the arboricultural industry, government and other influential bodies often consult with the Arboricultural Association prior to taking action or making changes.
The following list is not exhaustive but comprises those consultations the Association believes to be most important for arboriculture, including its own consultations when open to non-members.
On some subjects the Association is simply alerting browsers to the fact that consultation is taking place. On other subjects the Association invites responses and may, if there is a significant consensus, respond to the consultation originator with "the AA's view". A consensus is not always possible because of the large range of membership interests and even if responding to the AA, all respondents are also recommended to make their own response to the originator.
