2006: With subjects ranging from the development of the profession, changes to the AA Registered Consultant scheme, placing a monetary value on trees’ amenity through to the technical complexities of suspension trauma and protecting trees during a massive civil engineering project in Sweden, the 2006 Conference at the University of York was well received by all: delegates, exhibitors and guests. Topics included a "subsidence special", features for contractors, utility arboriculture sessions, new root-finding radar technology, the high hedges regulations, the AUS Utility Skills competition and a new Tilhill/AUS Safety Challenge to name but a few. The new British Standard 5837 was launched at the 2005 Conference.
