Hours 18.5 hrs per week
Place of Work: Based at Commerce Way (Significant driving across Adur & Worthing)

We are seeking an experienced arboricultural inspector to survey the Councils tree stock, primarily in Parks and Open spaces across Adur & Worthing, and to specify and programme tree works.
You will be experienced in tree identification and conversant with modern arboricultural practice including BS:3998 and associated tree laws. Duties will include tree identification, inspections for health and safety and to specify remedial works to ensure and promote good tree health. This will also include identification of major tree defects, pests and diseases and preventative treatments. Your inspections will be recorded onto digital programmes and ideally you will be conversant with GiS systems and Google programmes. Duties may also include inspecting our Parks and Open spaces for maintenance and Health & Safety defects.
The successful candidate must possess an appropriate qualification in arboriculture or be undertaking an appropriate training course.
You will hold a valid driving licence and we will provide access to a works van or pool vehicle for business use. We are looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, good decision making skills and a team player.
